Glass Animals Return to Madison, WI for a Sold-Out Show at The Sylvee - 3/16/22
Updated: Mar 23
Glass Animals last performed in Madison in 2015 to a nearly sold-out audience at The Orpheum. Over the years, Glass Animals have built quite the following of fans in Madison, only adding to the anticipation of Wednesday’s show.
Enjoying a gorgeous spring-like day, it’s no wonder there would be a line waiting outside the venue hours before the doors were to open. With doors set to open at 6:30 p.m., Sad Night Dynamite would promptly take the stage at 8 p.m.
Once Sad Night Dynamite finished their high energy set, the stagehands quickly took to getting the stage ready for Glass Animals. It’s safe to say after seeing the stage setup for Glass Animals, the already excited crowd was even more riled. If you've been to Glass Animals’ website recently, you'll have some sense of the vibe; If you haven’t, you should head over there, check it out, and let your creative juices flow!

What can only be described as a giant computer monitor lookalike on the back of the stage now had a loading prompt until the show started. The best part of this was the estimated time remaining, which brought back so many infuriating nostalgic memories. In this case, though, the wait wouldn’t be long, and the band would take the stage at 9 p.m.
Glass Animals’ shows are notoriously phenomenal, and this performance was no exception. Dreamland is a fantastic album and checks so many boxes. One of which is nostalgia, both audibly and visually. Glass Animals’ Dreamland Tour is one of the best live productions I’ve seen in a long time. Luckily, there are still a bunch of dates left on this tour for you to get out and see for yourself!
